Safeguarding in Charity Settings

Ann Marie continues to deliver keynote speeches at various national safeguarding charity conferences.

She has worked in partnership with third sector organisations since qualifying in 1996. She has a sound understanding of policy, procedures and practice and has delivered Designated Safeguarding Lead/Officer training to this sector since 2003.

Ann Marie herself was a trustee of Community Interest Company, the Association of Child Protection Professionals, for 5 years. Throughout her social work career. Ann Marie has always volunteered for greater causes and is very familiar with the voluntary sector, both strategic and operational.

She provides safeguarding consultancy, training, and troubleshooting to support the sector in strengthening safer recruitment procedures, child and adult protection and safeguarding practices.

Ann Marie is a volunteer Board Safeguarding Advisor to the Children’s Activities Association, Bold Voices and The Diana Awards.
